A CleanMyMac alternative that only touches storage
Cleaner suites do malware, updates, login items and a dozen other jobs. Sift does one: show you the disk and let you take the space back, without a “one-click optimizer” reaching into the system.
Sandboxed, Mac App Store notarized, and it never phones home
Cleaner apps ask for a lot of trust, so here is exactly what Sift does with it. It ships only through the Mac App Store, so it runs inside Apple's sandbox and was reviewed before it reached you. It reads file sizes, names, paths and dates. It makes no network calls at all — no account, no analytics, no crash reporting SDK — and its App Store privacy label reads Data Not Collected.
No malware scanner, no update helper, no “speed up your Mac” switch. The job is measuring folders and moving files you chose to the Trash.
Sift will not tick fifty boxes and ask you to confirm. You pick the large things. ⌘Z puts the last move back.
The “Other” bucket Finder will not explain is split into backups, caches, disk images — and the sealed files no cleaner is allowed to touch.
